マレーシア 商業施設プロジェクト
マレーシア、クアラルンプール近郊の新たな商業施設建設プロジェクトに、複合型植物園「Vivi’s Planet」をデザイン提案し、採用された。従来の植物園とは一線を画し、レストランやショップなどの商業施設の中心に自然の森や川、滝などを作り出し、「静(Stillness)」、「動(Movement)」、「遊(Play)」、「学Learn)」、といった四つの要素をテーマに、人々が自然とドーム内を回遊して歩くといった仕掛けを施した。具体的には、昔ながらの本と最新のテクノロジーを同時に学べる図書館や、15mの高さにあるツリートップウォークと屋上庭園など、本物の植物と、デジタルアートetc.が融合した、超体験型植物空間である。本プロジェクトを通して、植物が単純な鑑賞や癒しだけにとどまらず、人々のコミュニケーションやその空間を繋ぐ媒介となる可能性を強く感じ、GREFICAはそれを広く世界中に伝えて行けたら良いと考えています。
We designed a green landscape called Vivi’s Planet for the rooftop dome of a mall complex near Kuala Lumpur. The theme of the space was Stillness, Movement, Play and Learn. In order to achieve this, we included a digital art area, a 15-meter-high tree top walk, a forest, a stream, a waterfall, and a garden among commercial facilities. This way, people are directed to restaurants and shops while admiring nature. There is also a library which facilitates learning through both books and the newest technology.
One of our passions is to promote the appreciation of nature. Through planning this project, we also realized how important it is to create a space that encourages communication between people and their natural surroundings. We hope to spread this idea by creating more spaces like this in the future.
